Joseph Paguia
Centre Manager
My name is Joseph Paguia, I came from the Philippines and have continued my teaching journey here in New Zealand. I am a dedicated and experienced educator with over 25 years of teaching in both early childhood and primary settings. My journey in education has been shaped by a deep commitment to nurturing children’s holistic development and creating meaningful learning experiences that support each child’s unique strengths, interests, and cultural identity.
I see my role as a facilitator, guide, and co-learner—supporting children to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for learning.
Genevieve Guinid
Under Two’s - Qualified Kaiako
I am Genevieve Guinid, a kaiako at Pukeko Preschool, Claudelands, working in the toddlers and baby room. I have been in Early Childhood Education for over a year. I am dedicated to supporting tamariki as they grow, learn and thrive through play. I value caring, quality relationships and a positive outlook, with a focus on meaningful learning outcomes. Outside of work, I enjoy playing the guitar, serving and participating in religious activities.
Jelian Benecio
Hi, I’m Jelian, an unqualified Kaiako in the Babies Room at Pukeko Preschool Claudeland. I’ve been working in early childhood education for almost a year, and I truly enjoy caring for and supporting our pēpi as they begin their learning journey. I’m passionate about creating a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and secure.
Outside of the centre, I love spending time with my family and enjoying simple, meaningful moments together. I’m always eager to keep learning and growing in my role so I can provide the best care and support for each child.

My name is Jaswinder Kaur. I am a qualified ECE teacher in preschool room with over four years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about supporting tamariki to learn and grow through play, creating a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, safe, and confident to explore.I believe children learn best through play, relationships, and meaningful experiences. My role is to support, guide, and nurture each child’s unique learning journey. During my free time, I love to spend quality time with my family and friends
Mary Joy Bisa
Preschool - Unqualified Kaiko
I am Mary Joy Bisa and I am from the Philippines, a country known for its wonderful hospitality. I have completed my secondary education degree and am a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines.
I am committed to creating a nurturing and exciting learning environment for young children in all disciplines. The role entails more than just teaching; it also includes developing relationships, providing care, and fostering a pleasant learning environment that lays the groundwork for future success.
I also believe that children not only learn from us, but we also learn from them. I am looking forward to knowing and welcoming all of our tamariki.
Sakshi Sharma
I’m Sakshi, a Kaiako in the Preschool Room. I am proud to be a part of Pukeko Preschool Claudelands whānau. I have been working as an ECE teacher in New Zealand from past five years. I love supporting children as they grow into confident learners. I believe in creating a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and confident to explore and learn. Building strong connections with tamariki and their whānau is very important to me, and I enjoy supporting each child on their learning journey. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and go out to explore nature with my family.

I truly enjoy building positive relationships with children and their families, and I love seeing children grow in confidence and express their unique personalities. Creating a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment is very important to me. Outside of the centre, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
